NATIONAL MEDICAL REVIEWS, INC. RECEIVES FULL URAC REACCREDITATION AS INDEPENDENT REVIEW ORGANIZATION

Trevose, PA (December 2009) – National Medical Reviews, Inc. (NMR) announced that it has been awarded re-accreditation as an Independent Review Organization from URAC, a Washington, DC-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.  URAC’s Independent Review Organization Accreditation Standards require companies to establish and adhere to proper process and procedures for assessment, planning and implementation of all Independent Review Services.

NMR provides specialty matched medical review services to the public and private sectors of the Health Care industry.  NMR’s services address both administrative and medical necessity coverage dispute issues throughout all levels of the appeal process up to and including third level external appeals.  NMR meets the needs of its clients by utilizing its National Panel of over 700 Peer Reviewers.  All Peer Reviewers are licensed and board certified (as applicable), in active practice and are fully credentialed according to URAC standards.  NMR is also accredited by URAC as a Workers’ Compensation Utilization Management Organization.
